From teaching myself A/V systems by starting a small business during my high school years to fundraising for my college radio station, the ins and outs of live production and entertainment has always been integral to my daily interests. From directing live financial programming, to working in college and professional arenas, television broadcasting is where my skills have currently led me, however I always look forward to the next gig, no matter the size or occasion.

I am a director based out of Chicago and am fortunate to have spent my nearly four years of work experience in a unique range of industries and interests, through working as a broadcast director for the Charles Schwab Network and for Program Productions in the Chicagoland area, and formerly as digital journalist and writer for WISH-TV, based out of downtown Indianapolis. Working in high-pressured and performance-based environments, for the Marquee Sports Network to NBATV, exposed me to the art of effective communication, both oral and written, while working independently as a way of sharpening my skills and furthering my experience.

For the past two years at Broadcast Management Group Inc., a regional production company, I have been integral in directing and operating 9 hours of live daily financial programming. Similarly, as a freelance director for Program Productions Inc., I have led a crew of 10+ tech leads assigned to effectively preparing and delivering a live product on television and inside both arenas and stadiums for teams like the Chicago Sky to DePaul and Northwestern University. In sports broadcasting, capturing play is half the battle; it is the storytelling we formulate that captivates our audience and keeps them engaged, which is directly aligned with Buildout’s mission. The margin for error is expanded, enabling myself and my crew’s prep to be polished, a value I believe is critical in day-to-day operations to be successful.
